Margaret Ann Tudor, 99, of Huntsville, Alabama died Monday, October 20, 2025, at home surrounded by family. Born on February 6, 1926, in Richmond, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Evangeline and George Adams. Two brothers, Russell and Robert Adams, preceded her in death. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in Home Economics.
Margaret was the wife of the late Jesse Tudor Jr. with whom she shared 58 wonderful years of marriage and raised three children. The Tudor family moved to Huntsville in 1960, and Margaret was employed as a preschool and fifth grade teacher. She inspired generations of students with her patience, warmth, and humor. Even decades after retirement, her former students continued to contact her and greet her happily when meeting her by chance around town. After retirement from teaching, she worked as a cake decorator and was known for her beautiful and creative cake designs. She was first a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and then the First United Methodist Church in Huntsville. She was involved in many activities through church including teaching Ladies Bible Class, serving as the president of the Billie Scott Sunday School Class, and serving in the Stephen Ministry for many years.
From a young age, Margaret had a gift for creating beauty with her hands. In addition to her cake decorating talents, she excelled at sewing, quilting, knitting, tatting, and doll making, among many other handicrafts. She very generously shared her love of these activities and the things she made with her family, friends, and charitable organizations.
She is survived by her children, Jessica (Larry) Gautney, David (Suzette) Tudor, and Phoebe (Bassam) Naoum; her seven grandchildren, Aaron (Andrea), Joanna (Julian), and Zachary (Kavita) Gautney, Noelle (Simone) Iavarone and Farris Naoum, and Isabelle and Jeanne Tudor; and her nine great-grandchildren Conner, Natalie, Travis, and Jase Gautney, David, Daisy, and Benjamin Chan, Kira Phadke, and Azzurra Iavarone.
Margaret lived a long and happy life full of love, kindness, and laughter, and she will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched. Following cremation, she will be interred in the Richmond Kentucky Cemetery alongside her husband and other family members.
