Marian Joanne (Stoll) Kirk

Joanne Kirk, 86, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018. She was born in Goshen, Indiana and lived most of her adult life in Huntsville, AL.  She served as a volunteer for many years at the following : Hospice Family Care, New Hope C.A.R.E. Center, Hampton Cove Elementary School, and Tortora’s Family Restaurant. She most enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Joanne always had open arms, compassion and a special way about her that always let you know that she genuinely cared about all of the people that came into her life.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clyde MacMurray, Harold Minney, and Robert Kirk; children, Krista Brotherton, Kevin and Keri Anne MacMurray; and her parents, Karl and Marian Stoll. She is survived by her son, Kory  MacMurray (Julie);  grandchildren, Hunter Brotherton, Stephen MacMurray and Sydney MacMurray; and sister, Mary Alice Smith.

A celebration of Joanne’s life service will be held on Sunday, July 22nd at 2:00pm at Cove Methodist Church with John Tanner officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Hospice Family Care (10000 Serenity Lane / Huntsville, AL 35803) or the C.A.R.E. Center New Hope Alabama (5451 Main Drive / New Hope, AL 35760).
