Marjorie Marie (Coffey) Self

Marjorie Marie Coffey Self, 91, left the walks of this Earth on June 6, 2024 at Hospice Family Care of Huntsville. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and friend to many. She loved unconditionally and made sure that her family knew that she loved them. She rarely ended a phone call or a visit without saying “I love you”.

She received salvation on August 27, 1960 at Beirne Avenue Holiness Church. She has been a member of the Holiness faith for over 63 years.
Marjorie worked at Crestwood Hospital and retired as Manager of the cafeteria after more than 25 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Simioun and Kate Coffey; her infant son, Michael Self; her daughter Lanita OKesky; her siblings, Stella Coffey, Mary Sims, Roy Coffey and Bessie McAllister; and step granddaughter Lori Hardin.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Steve Smith (Barbara); grandchildren, Beth Denson (Wayne), Carol Gilliam (Kevin), Michael OKesky (Mindy) and Steven Smith (Jessica); son-in-law, Mike OKesky (Reba); great grandchildren Preston, Kinsley, Camden (Carlie), Heather, Ethan (Maddie), Riley, Isaac, Elijah, Chandler, Kayli, Braxton and Kylie; great great grandchild, Charlotte; Stepdaughter, Linda Holland (Earnest); Step-grandchildren Sandy Poleretzky, Gerry Holland, and Amy Schauder, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, June 8 from 5:00-8:00pm at Spry Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, June 9 at 11:00am in the Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Dale Cantrell, Brother Collis Sims III, and Brother Patrick Price officiating. Burial will take place at Maple Hill Cemetery.
