Mark Anthony Michael

Mark A. Michael, age 64, of Huntsville, Alabama went to be with his Lord on September 2, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his father, William H. Michael.  He is survived by his mother, Mary G. Boger, his sisters Kelly Spencer (husband, Gary), Donna Smith (husband, Randy) and Julie Taylor (husband, Larry), three nieces (Christy, Laine, and Emily) and his nephew (Dustin). In addition, he had a special bond with extended members of his Michael and Fisk families, to include his Aunts and Uncles, and all his beloved Cousins.  Mark was a 1975 graduate of Lee High School and received his undergraduate degree from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee.  He worked at a number of jobs after college, to include the Huntsville Public Library, and retired after working at the Huntsville Times newspaper.  He participated in many sports growing up and always followed his favorite team, the Auburn Tigers.  He was a Christian and a proud American who was devoted to his family and was a friend to everyone he met.  His kind manner and ready smile always made even a stranger feel like a dear friend. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff at the Huntsville Hospital Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.   Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 to 12:00, on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at the Spry Funeral Home, 2411 Memorial Parkway, Huntsville, Alabama.  It will be followed at 12:30 by a graveside service at the Maple Hill Cemetery, Huntsville, Alabama.
