Martin Marquez Obituary

Martin Marquez, born on April 19th, 1965, in Manhattan, New York, passed away on June 5th, 2023, in Hazel Green, Alabama. He was surrounded by his loved ones and his loyal dog Celtic. Martin was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed.

To know Martin was to love him. He had a heart of gold and welcomed everyone with open arms. Martin was an inspiration to many and enjoyed cooking, serving, and helping others. His love for people was evident in the stories and jokes he shared that always caught people's attention. Martin was also a man of determination and went all in when he set his mind to something. He took great pride in his family, homing pigeons, and his dog Celtic. He loved fishing, cooking, music and bringing people together for a good time. Martin lived his life to the fullest with a smile on his face, even during his health struggles.

Martin is survived by his loving wife Enid Marquez (Torres), his children Tamica Torres, Thomas Frazier, Latoia Love, Melvin Hynes, and Clarimar Marquez. He was also a proud grandfather to Elijah Torres, Izeah Torres, Mariah Bazile, Dominic Frazier, Alexandria Love, Lea'lani Love, Joesan Cordero Marquez, and Jomar Abner Cordero Marquez. Martin is also survived by his brothers Sam Marquez, George Marquez, Felix Marquez, his sister Olga Marquez, and many nieces and nephews. Martin was preceded in death by his parents Marcial Marquez and Hilda Margarita Marquez, and his brothers Fabian Marquez and Marcial Marquez.

Martin's hobbies included fishing, cooking, and training his homing pigeons. He was known as the Pigeon Master and will forever be remembered for his love and dedication to his feathered friends.

A celebration of Martin's life will be held on June 17th, 2023, at 3:00 pm, at 109 Mill Race Court in Hazel Green, Alabama. Martin's legacy will live on within his children and grandchildren, whom he raised with his full heart and soul. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will continue to bring smiles to those who loved him.
