Mary (DeFer) Rumanes

Mary De Fer Rumanes, aged 89, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2024, at Huntsville Hospital Hospice Family Care.

Mary was predeceased by her parents Edmund Henry De Fer and Claribel Robertson De Fer, her brother James Edmund De Fer, her husband E.N. Van Rumanes and great grandson Brayden and survived by her son Kimon (Christine) Rumanes, her daughter Tina (Michael) Cornell, grandchildren Carrie Heath, Alexandra (Bryan) Latimer, Thomas Rumanes, Patrick (Caroline) Cornell, Nathan (Grace) Cornell, Adam (Madeline) Cornell and great grandchildren Cole, Ashlyn, Birdie, Wilma, Gertie, Colton, Addison and Brooks.

Mary’s greatest legacy was her love for her family. She was fiercely protective, overtly affectionate, and so extremely proud of each member.

The funeral will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Wednesday, April, 17th, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10am until 11am with the funeral service following at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to EWTN Global Catholic Network.
