Mary Nell Scott

Mary Nell Boshart Scott, 85, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, surrounded by her husband Gilbert and her daughter Teresa. Mary was a native of Madison County and resided in Brownsboro.

She was an only child and was preceded in death by her parents Wilbourn and Alma Boshart.

She is survived by her husband Gilbert “Scottie” Scott; her daughter Teresa Dennis and son-in-law Joey Dennis; her granddaughters Tiffany Braswell (Matthew), and Whitney Dennis; and her great grandchildren Ashlyn, Tinley, Willow and Walker who she loved dearly.

Mary attended Central Jr High School and was retired from Hart & Cooley. She will be remembered most by the devoted wife, mother, and grandmother she was. She was a full time homemaker until Teresa was married, and  was a very loving and devoted mother. She never missed a single activity or ballgame and served as Girl Scout Troup Leader. She was an amazing cook and there was always a dessert at her table. She loved decorating for each holiday and so enjoyed hosting the family gatherings. Mary had a green thumb and always had the most beautiful flowers. She had a love for animals, especially her grand dogs. And she loved to shop, she could outlast us all. Above all, she always put everyone above herself and loved very deeply. She had the best hugs and sweetest smile. She will be deeply missed, but her light will always be with us.

A Visitation will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 11:00 to 1:00 with the service immediately following. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery.
