Mattie Sue (Dudley) Lipham

Mattie Sue (Dudley) Lipham, age 91, of Laceys Spring, AL, passed away at a local nursing home.  A native of Owens Cross Roads, she resided in Calhoun County for many years before moving to Laceys Spring.

Sue retired from Anniston Sportswear after 30 years of service. She loved going to church and was a member of the Church of God. Sue enjoyed being outside on the porch or in the garden, spending time with her family and friends, and cooking. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 58 years, John Olen Lipham;  son, Randall Few; stepson, Johnny Lipham; stepdaughter, Marie Cannon; father, Ollie Mack Dudley; mother, Coralee Treece; three sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her daughter Sherry Adams, and husband James; six grandchildren, Matt Few, Ashleigh Hargrove, and husband Jeremy, Sonny Bell, and wife Liz, Brittney Kendrick, and husband Brian, Warren Cannon, and Kim Cannon; a host of great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the family will receive friends Thursday from 3:30 until 4:45pm.  A service will follow in Spry Funeral Home's Chapel, with Bro. Steve Andrews officiating.  An interment service will be held Friday at 11:00am at Anniston Memorial Gardens.
