Monique Marie Whitaker: mother, sister, friend.
A person of many talents, Monique was well known to those who loved her as compassionate nurse and caregiver, a skilled seamstress, and a budding tie dye extraordinaire.
Monique lived to serve her patients and clients, always going above and beyond to make sure they had what they needed to be comfortable. In addition to the many senior communities she's worked with in the Huntsville and Madison areas, she also traveled to Wrangell, Alaska to care for the seniors in that community during the pandemic.
Monique's travels didn't end with work related duties, however. Monique traveled frequently to many beautiful places in her life. Europe, Mexico, New York, and any beach she could find along the way, just to name a few of her adventures.
Monique had many passions in life. Whether she was working on her latest hobby, tending to plants, fostering animals or studying to further her education (which she was always doing), she always made time for the people she loved.
She leaves behind her sister Richelle Whitaker and her pride and joy in life, her daughter Maggie Taylor.
So many memories, so little time. Monique will forever be in the hearts of the many people she's touched in her lifetime.
"The world owes us nothing, we owe each other the world." -Ani DiFranco
