Nancy Dowell Obituary

Nancy Snitger Dowell, 71, of Huntsville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 11:00 am. Nancy was born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania on July 27, 1947 to parents Robert and Betty (Butcher) Snitger.

She moved to Alabama in 1970 and married Fay J. Dowell in 1981. Nancy was an employee of Service Steel in Huntsville for 30 years.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Betty and step-daughter, Debbie Dowell. She is survived by her husband, Fay J. Dowell; brother, Timothy (Sharon) Snitger; step-children, Beckie and Ricky Dowell; seven step-grandchildren; and several step-great grandchildren.

Nancy's family would like to extend their appreciation to the physicians, nurses, and therapists at Huntsville Hospital CCU2 for making her last few days as comfortable and peaceful as possible.

Visitation will be at Spry Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 18, from 12:30 pm until 2:30 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.
