Nancy Gayle (Landman) Renfroe

Nancy Gayle (Landman) Renfroe, 87, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away February 10, 2026, after a long illness surrounded by loving family.

Born in New Market to Homer and Bessie Landman, Nancy enjoyed Alabama football, spending time outdoors with her kind neighbors and “Her Flowers “. She took pride in caring for her flowerbeds and potted plants. She was a loving mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. Nancy was especially close to her older sister Betty Walker (recently deceased). She cherished all the time they spent together. They were known to take little trips later in life that they both treasured. Nancy was such a sweet soul whom was blessed to have the longevity to be able to play with her 2 great granddaughters, Madison and Caroline. She was resilient. Nancy at 87 lived independently until her death.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Renfroe, her parents, Homer and Bessie Landman, and 2 siblings, Ronnie Landman and Betty Walker.

She is survived by her brother, Barry Landman, 2 children, Bruce Renfroe (Dawn) and Tara Thompson (Patrick), as well as her 2 precious grandchildren, Haley Heckaman(Jake) and Matthew Thompson (Heather). Nancy was also blessed with 2 beautiful great granddaughters Madison and Caroline.

Visitation will be February 13, 2026 at Spry Funeral Home Huntsville from 12:30pm - 2:00pm with a brief graveside service at Maple Hill Cemetery at 2:30 pm.
