Paul “Terry” Roberson, 77, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on November 19, 2021 after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
Terry was born on August 19, 1944 to Paul and Helen Day Roberson in Huntsville, Alabama. After graduating from Butler High School in 1962, he went on to serve as a Morse Code Operator in the United States Air Force stationed in Germany during the Vietnam war. He attended the University of Alabama at Huntsville while beginning his career as an accountant at Meadow Gold Dairies. Terry also spent several years working at the US Space and Rocket Center after Meadow Gold’s closure.
Terry married Andrea Sue Gray, the love of his life and soulmate on February 23, 1968. She survives. Terry leaves behind to honor his legacy, daughter, Tracie (Bobby) Gentle and Kevin (Krissy) Roberson and Grandchildren, Robert Gentle III, Bethany Gentle, and Maggie Roberson. Of whom, all survive along with many wonderful family and friends.
Terry loved playing tennis, and played almost daily until a knee injury sidetracked him in recent years. He loved watching the Crimson Tide, and during rough patches in games, sent Andrea to wait in the computer room until they started playing well again.
Terry was predeceased by his parents, Paul & Helen, and brother, Steve.
Pallbearers will be: Bobby Gentle, Robert Gentle III, Greg Gray, Jeff Norton, Brad Gray and Daniel Smith. Honorary Pallbearers include Doug Roberson, Wes Smith, Budger Jones and Butch & Shawn Newby.
Services will be held at Hillwood Baptist Church on Tuesday, November 23rd at 11:00 am. Viewing for friends and family will take place on Monday evening, November 22nd from 4-7:00, also at Hillwood Baptist. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Compassus Hospice at www.compassuslivingfoundation.org/give/ of whom the family will be forever grateful for the kind, dedicated and compassionate care he received from them.
