Peggie (Baucom) Moore

Peggie B. Moore, 88, went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2020. She will be very missed. She was born to Martha Bates and Ernest L. Baucom who have preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her husbands, Willie (Bud) Myrick and Charles Lee Moore and her step mother Edna Baucom.

She is survived by three children, Keith L Myrick (Mildred), Lorann Wilkes Barnett (Kenneth) and Charles L. Myrick (Wanda); one brother, Ernest Larkin Baucom (Vi) and grandchildren: Kendall Ladd (Matt), Kevin Myrick (Jessica), Jessica Wilkes (Timothy), Damian Myrick and Jacob Myrick. Mrs. Moore enjoyed her great grandchildren: Pearl, Olivia, Clover, Conner, Juneau, Eno and Ellis.

Mrs. Moore spent several decades working with the U. S. Army Corp of Engineers, where she won numerous accolades for her time and service. She enjoyed volunteering for her churches, Jackson Way Baptist Church and Whitesburg Baptist. After being widowed she married her husband Charles Lee and spent many years traveling and enjoying her family and church life.

A memorial service will be held later in the summer at Maple Hill Cemetery due to the circumstances. Those who would like to contribute in her memory, her two favorites were the Salvation Army and The Gideons.
