Peggy McGee (Colbert) Carter

Peggy McGee Colbert Carter, 85, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on October 30, 2024,

Peggy was born on August 22,1939 to Willie and Mattie Faulkner McGee. Peggy worked at Jonathan Logan and retired from HD Lee Manufacturing Company. She was a devoted and loving mother as well as a caregiver to many. She was always willing to help anyone in need. Peggy was a believer in Christ and was a member of the Baptist faith.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Carter along with her parents, Willie and Mattie Faulkner McGee. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Ruth McGee Curtis and Walter McGee; and children, Kimberly Gayle Colbert and Earl Carter.

Peggy is survived by her son, Mark Colbert (Terri); daughter, Tana Colbert; stepdaughter, Melinda McCord (Ricky); granddaughter, Tiffany Colbert (Tara); step grandson, Zach McCord; step granddaughter, Jessie McCord; great-grandson, Grady Colbert, and many nieces and nephews.
