Polly Anne Mullins

Polly Anne Mullins, age 89, passed away peacefully January 2, 2021. She was born October 13, 1931, here in Huntsville to Walter and Claudia Jones. After moving with her family to Asheville, North Carolina and then to Knoxville Tennessee, she met and married her longtime friend and love, Vernon B. Mullins December 31,1952; who preceded her in death in 2013.

Polly was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She was a christian woman that loved the church and family above all else. She treasured her grandchildren and embraced every moment her and Vernon shared with them.   She was particular fond of family gatherings at holidays with everyone sitting together for a meal and enjoying her cooking.  She and Vernon cherished the 5 grandchildren and was happiest when they all visited and shared many good times.  She was known to her grand children as Nanny, a tradition started with her kids and her mother.

Polly is survived by her brother Jerry Jones of Asheville, NC; her son and wife Terry and Melanie and sons Matthew and Michael, her son in law Larry Conwill and his sons Joshua, Clay, and daughter Kristin and great grandchildren Lilly and Dean.  She is precede in death by her husband Vernon and daughter Cindy Conwill.

Polly will be laid to rest Wednesday, January 6, 2021, between 11:00 and 12 Noon at Maple Hill Cemetery, Huntsville, AL.  The family has requested a private ceremony.  In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations in the name of Polly Mullins be made to the East Huntsville Baptist Church at 808 Maysville Rd Huntsville, AL 35801.
