Reba Rosebrough

Reba Hughes Rosebrough, age 87, of Cary, NC passed away on January 13, 2026. She was born May 6, 1938, to the late James Robert and Leona Hickson Hughes.

Born in Madison County, AL, she lived in Cary for most of her life but Huntsville, AL was her home. 

She was a retired educator at Henry Adams Elementary School in Cary. Her greatest joy was found in her three boys and many grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Rosebrough, brother James Monroe Hughes and sisters Averine Hughes Manning, Nelda Hughes Laney and Joyce Hughes Peek. She is survived by her three sons Rodney (Lynn), Ryan, and Reggie (Kristin); grandchildren Jake, Taylor, Cole, Seth, Grant, Ava and Emmy, bonus grandchildren Meghan, Bri and Becca; sister Loyce Hughes Esslinger and brother Charles McClain Hughes and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9:00-10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 31st, at Spry Funeral Home on 2411 Memorial Pkwy, Huntsville, AL 35810. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. following the visitation on Saturday January 31st at Huntsville Memory Gardens, 6810 University Drive with the Pastor Steve Andrews officiating.
