Richard Earl Kelley

Richard "Rick" Earl Kelley age 73, of Harvest, Alabama, passed away on September 14, 2025. Rick was born on April 4,1952 in Anniston, Alabama to Rose Odom and Earnest Kelley. Rick graduated from Butler High School in 1971

Rick is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carol Rist Kelley; children, Matthew Ray Kelley (Mary Kelley) and Kevin Joseph Kelley (Katie Kelley); grandchildren, Audrey Marie Grace, Weston Blake Grace, and Oliver Lee Grace; siblings, Rick (oldest), Joseph Kelley, Jackie Kelley Newsom Knox, Rhonda Kelley Guthrie (Jim Guthrie), and Michael Kelley; nephews, Tim Newsom, David Stewart, and Michael Kelley; and niece, Tami Stewart. 

As a child, Rick lived all over the world as his father moved with military assignments, and then made Huntsville, Alabama his home when his father retired from Redstone Arsenal.

Rick spent his career at Cooks Pest Control, Woody Anderson Ford, Firestone, Fastlane Auto Repair, and Alabama Auto Repair. He retired in 2008.

Rick married his wife, Carol, on February 24, 1990. His life interests were Alabama Football, Atlanta Braves Baseball, going on vacation to Disney World, cruising, camping cross-country with his wife in their teardrop, singing Karaoke, fishing, grilling, working in his yard, watching his son's baseball games and Scout events.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville from 3:30pm to 6:00pm.
