Bro. Richard "Rick" James Pollnow, age 65 of Huntsville, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025 at a local hospital.
Rick was born on March 11, 1960 in Worland, Wyoming to Farrell Jordan Pollnow and Nancy Joe (Taylor) Pollnow. During Ricks childhood, he moved to Novato, CA where he played baseball, made many friends, and graduated high school. During the 70's Rick joined The Novato First Ward. He later served his Mission in Scotland and Ireland.
Rick attended BYU and taught at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah. He was an Inventory Supervisor, in Sacramento, California, where he met his wife, Jody, in 2002. In 2010, Jody and Rick moved to Huntsville, Alabama, where they would later get married, in 2013. He worked at Publix for 12 years as a Deli Clerk and Deli Assistant Manager.
In his spare time, he enjoyed watching baseball and traveling with Jody. Rick and Jody traveled many places but their favorite places were, The Niagara Falls, Sarasota, Florida, and Washington State.
Rick is preceded in death by his two brother Wayne Eglston and Steve Pollnow.
He is survived by his wife, Jody Leann (Sturdevant) Pollnow; daughter, Kelley Drebes; two sons, Tyler Guthier and Kyle Pollnow; four brothers, Dan Egleston, Dannie Pollnow, and wife DeAnna, Bob Pollnow, and wife Norrie, and Bill Pollnow, and wife Sandi; three sisters Cindy (Egleston) Stump, Becky Egleston, and Kathy (Pollnow) Babyak, and husband Leonard; two grandsons; and extended family and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville. The family will receive friends, Saturday, April 26th, from 4:00 until 5:00pm, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints, 2110 Byrd Spring Rd SW. A memorial service will follow at 5:00pm in the Chapel.
