Ronald Alfred Jobbins, 91, of Madison, Alabama passed away Wednesday night at his residence surrounded by his daughters.
Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Jobbins, of 67 years of marriage, along with his parents, Alfred and Dorothy Jobbins of Wimbledon, England.
Ronald is survived by his three daughters, Linda Susan Griffis of Birmingham, AL; Carole Anne Emond (Cliff) of Cullman, AL; Christine Elaine Moore (Jim) of Harvest, AL; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Ronald will always be remembered as Grando by his amazing grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ronald was born in Chelsea, England, and grew up during World War II. Later in life he enrolled in the Royal Army and served at the Queen Elizabeth ll Coronation. After marrying his wife Margaret and having three daughters they moved to Diamond Bar, California in October of 1966. Ronald worked thirty years in piping and mechanical design for the petroleum refinery, chemical, fertilizer and nuclear power plants. He was known for his love for Chelsea football (soccer), his funny jokes, and his award winning yard work that won him “The Beautification award” from the city of Madison. Ronald loved his many dogs, particularly his current pets, Bonnie and Sheba.
Ronald enjoyed spending time with his family, dancing with his beloved wife, tending to his rose garden, and his daily afternoon beer.
