Samuel Nicholas Parks, 38, of Morningside, MD, passed away on April 11, 2025. Born on July 19, 1986, in Sierra Vista, Arizona, he was a devoted son of Reginald and Julie Parks and a loving brother to David and Michael Parks. A Sparkman High School alumnus and graduate of The University of Alabama in Huntsville—where he led the Student Government Association—Sam dedicated his career to public service as a Public Affairs Specialist at the Defense Acquisition University. His passion for community service, creative pursuits in cooking and writing will be dearly missed. He is survived by his Husband, JJ Norman, and an extended family of loved ones. His kind spirit and selfless dedication continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation and funeral services will be held on April 16, 2025, in Huntsville, AL, followed by a celebration of life at The Nook (3305 Bob Wallace Ave. NW, 35805) at 3:00 PM for a time of fellowship and storytelling.
