Sandra Kay Bryan passed peacefully in her sleep on September 23rd, 2025. She was born on August 24 in 1948 to Emil Samuel Anishanslin and Marjory May Anishanslin (maiden name Warren) in McAllen, Texas. Sandra is survived by her children, Heather Bryan Pike, John Sean Bryan, Matthew Mchan Bryan, Alfred Ian Bryan, and Marjory Hillary Bryan, plus nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A Registered Nurse, massage therapist, painter, singer and musician whose life was marked by continual pursuit of ever deeper faith in Anointed King Jesus, Sandra served as a missionary in the Marshall Islands, later as a head nurse in the surgical intensive care unit of Memphis Tennessee’s largest hospital, then as a home health nurse, followed by four years as a missionary nurse changing lives in Patchacan Belize, and finally as a licensed massage therapist in San Antonio, Texas. When Sandra’s health required an assisted living environment, she continued to serve by visiting fellow residents who were bedbound and reading scripture to them despite her own struggles with cancer and Parkinson’s Disease. Sandra found great peace in Roman Catholicism amid her latter years before moving to Madison, Alabama.
Burial will be 10AM September 30 in the 2025th year of our Lord Jesus Christ at the Mount Zion Cemetery on Sugar Creek in Leoma, Tennessee.
