Sheila Delores (Moon) Cole

Ms. Sheila Delores Moon Cole passed away peacefully on March 16, 2023. She was born to Virginia Stephens Moon and Julius Moon on January 8, 1949 in Huntsville, Alabama. She became a Master Barber in 1976 and then became Guntersville’s first woman barber.
Her love of boating and the lake led her to call Guntersville home for more than 40 years. She spent many mornings and afternoons on her porch watching the boats come and go from the neighboring marina. Sheila was passionate about music and enjoyed playing the harmonica, keyboard, guitar and singing. She especially loved listening to and playing the blues. Spending time with her family and friends was the most important thing to her. She was very competitive and would often challenge those she loved to a game of pool, darts or bowling.
Sheila is survived by her son, Arthur L. Cole III (Julie), grandsons, Conner and Cade Thomas Cole, brother, Jerrell Moon (Judy) and companion of 18 years, Richard Cooley. She was preceded in death by her parents.
