Shelley Sue Billingsley

Shelley Sue Billingsley, 64, of Huntsville, AL, passed away on August 23, 2023. She was born on March 13, 1959, in Bellingham, WA.

She is survived by her parents, Charles Billingsley and wife, Emma Kemp Billingsley, her brother, Charles Billingsley of Arab, AL; sister Cristin M. Billingsley, Huntsville, AL and her niece, Brooke D. Billingsley, Huntsville, AL. Shelley is also survived by many beloved Uncles, Cousins, Nephews, and extended family. Shelley's legacy will live on through the memories and love she shared with them.

Shelley was preceded in death by an older sister, Sheila D. Billingsley, Aurora, CO.

The family will be holding a visitation at Spry Funeral Home on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Shelley will lie in state at Spry Funeral Home on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 10:00am to 10:30am followed by a memorial service in the chapel beginning at 10:30am.

Shelley enjoyed sports, she was a bowler, she enjoyed hockey, she played softball as a teenager; in recent years she became an avid fan of the University of Alabama and the University of Oklahoma Softball Teams. She would spend many of her afternoons and evenings watching the replay of those Universities softball games.

Shelly worked in administrative and executive positions in the Banking industry in Montgomery and in Huntsville. She also spent several years working for Direct TV in the local office in Huntsville, AL. Shelley was also a member of Monte Sano Baptist Church, where she taught the high school students, for many years. 

Shelley will forever be remembered as a kind-hearted and loving individual. One of the fondness memories she is leaving is the time she spent reading and studying her Bible. Her presence in her home will be greatly missed, but the memories she leaves behind will continue to bring comfort and joy to her family.
