Sonya Latrieve Son

Sonya Latrieve Son, 85, resided in Trinity, AL and was born in Haleyville to Calvin Goodlow Son and Crilla Lawrence on August 21st, 1938. Sonya went to be with our Lord on September 15th, 2023.

Sonya was proceeded in death by her father, Calvin Goodlow Son; mother, Crilla Lawrence Son Mahathey; and sister, Wanda Gay Rose. She is survived by one sister, Francis Yvonn Greene (Ray); one daughter, Robin Darlene Son (Angela); three nieces, two nephews, and the extended Phillips family along with a whole host of special family and friends.

Sonya graduated from Butler High School in 1956. She retired from the Department of the Army as a Civil Servant. In her life Sonya was an avid Bowler and promoter of the sport, she was inducted to the Huntsville Bowler Hall of Fame for Meritorious Service. She loved to travel with her daughter to various Bowling tournaments, loved bingo and she loved the Crimson Tide, The Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Braves.
