Thelma Lois (Savage) Younger

Thelma Lois Younger, 96, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, at her home with her children by her side.

Thelma was born on March 20, 1930 in Webb, Mississippi to Fred and Bertha Savage.  She enjoyed a career in nursing.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Bertha Savage, sister Marie Drummond, husband Judge Thomas N. Younger and son Jim Younger.  She is survived by her children Chuck Younger, Linda Finnegan (Mike), Sandy Goode (Brian). Her grandchildren Shawn Finnegan (Suzana), Colby Finnegan (Katie), Tyler Goode (Bonnie), Tracie Burrage (Zac) and her great grandchildren Kian, Tieg, Martin, Nico and Madeline. She is also survived by her brother, Dr. James Savage of Jackson, MS. 

Thelma loved to dance and enjoyed reading, but the one thing above all that brought her the greatest joy in life was being with her family.  She had the sweetest and most gentle spirit and always had a smile on her face that could brighten the darkest room. Now, she is dancing again in Heaven.
