Timothy Douglas Ivey, 68, of Madison, AL passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, March 29, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Anke Ivey; daughter, Rachel Ivey; brother, Steve Ivey (Rhonda); grandsons, Ethan Carter (Hannah) and Noah Shafer; great-grandson, Charlie Carter; two nieces, a nephew many great-nieces and great-nephews and many beloved friends.
Tim was a lifelong resident of Madison County and graduated from Butler High School in 1975. He was a faithful employee of Englehard/BASF for 40 years where many coworkers became life long friends. Tim enjoyed fishing, antiques, and collecting sports memorabilia, especially University of Alabama football.
Tim was a very generous person, and had a very rare sense of humor. His ability at perfectly timed jokes to lighten any mood is one of the many things that will truly be missed with his passing.
Tim is proceeded in death by his parents, Bennie Ivey and Dorothy Rosenblum; his step-father, Carl Rosenblum; and his very dear great-uncle and great-aunt, Jessie Lee and Alta Cleveland.
Visitation will be held from 10:30-11:30 Friday, April 3rd at Spry Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
