Tony Leon Driggers, 68, of Athens, went home to be with
the Lord on July 21, 2020. Tony was a longtime resident
of the Huntsville, Decatur, and Athens area, most recently
living at Senior Rehab and Recovery Center in Limestone
County Alabama where he was recovering from a long
illness. Tony grew up all over the world thanks to the US
military. Tony settled in Huntsville in his 20's after serving
briefly in the Army. Tony was well loved by his mother
and stepfather, siblings, and many nieces and nephews.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Leon Driggers, and stepfather, Neil
Harper, and grandparents O.C. Sr. and Willie Tyree.
Tony is survived by his mother and stepfather, Carol and Don Miller, of Huntsville,
siblings; Deborah Letson and her husband Billy Letson, Pamela Daniels, Jennifer
Jory and her husband Edward Jory, Aunts and Uncles; Revis Tyree and wife
Rachel, Charlotte Aderholdt and husband Charles, dear family friends Monty and
Kim Moon, nephews and nieces; Jeremy Daniels, Billy Letson Jr., Doug Letson,
Kristi Pence, Deanna Lightsey, Madeline Jory, Jackie Jory, and Gwen Jory, and
many loving grand nephews, grand nieces, and cousins.
The family is grateful for the care Tony received at The Bastin Home in Athens for
many years, and the care he received at the Mental Health Center of North
Central Alabama for many years.
Spry Funeral Home is handling arrangements and he will be laid to rest at
Huntsville Memory Gardens. Pastor Darryl Craft will be officiating a graveside
service.
Due to the current pandemic, services will be restricted to close family members.
