William Goosby Obituary

William Scott Goosby, 61, passed away on November 2, 2023. He was born in Huntsville Alabama on January 15, 1962. Scott graduated from Lee High School in 1980, after which he served in the U.S. Army. After his discharge from the Army he made building maintenance his career. His last position was the Maintenance Supervisor for the First Baptist Church in Huntsville.

Scott is survived by his son, William Scott Goosby, Jr.; his mother, Murlene Grider; step-father, Kelly Grider; step-sisters, Donna Reisel and Lisa Wester; step-brother, Kel Grider; and nephews, Josh Goosby and Bradley Hudson.

He was predeceased by his father, Marion P. Goosby; brother, Jeffery P. Goosby and sister, Traci Carol Doub.

There will be a graveside service held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Maple
Hill Cemetery. The Reverend William Umbarger will be officiating.
