William Owens Holland
Obituary
William Owens Holland, 84, of Huntsville, Al passed away on May 05, 2023. He was born to Max Leslie Holland and Opal Owens on August 28, 1938 in Memphis, Tennessee.
William spent most of his childhood in Fairfield, Al where he graduated in 1956 from Fairfield High School. He received an associates degree in electronics from Devry Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois in 1958. He married Shelby Winningham in 1965 and then after moving to Huntsville he started a career working at IBM until he retired in the mid nineties. Some of his hobbies were working outdoors, woodworking, photography, and auto mechanics.
He is preceded in death by his wife Shelby Holland; his parents Max and Opal Holland.
He is survived by his two sons, Thomas Glenn Holland (Tonia) and Dewayne Edward Holland; three grandchildren: Kaley, Taylor, and Jesse Holland; two brothers: Jerry and Richard Holland.
The family will be holding private burial services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Dementia Society of America.
