A message from her granddaughter Aubrey

As I sit down to write this, the first thing that comes to my mind is thankful. I am thankful to have been blessed with the strongest woman I have ever have known. I am thankful for all of the years we were given together. & I thank you for showing me a love and strength like no other. Standing at a little over 4 feet tall, you were the most intimidating yet caring woman I ever knew. Anyone that knew you would laugh and agree with me. It was Grandma’s way or no way!

I can honestly say there is not a single memory I can reflect back on that wasn’t special in some way. I could go on and on with the stories. I could always make you mad as hell running in and out of the house and no matter what you would still have food ready for me when I got back. You were truly the best caregiver and cook I’ve ever met and your kimchi will always be the best! I know for certain we can all say you gave and loved endlessly until your last breath.

I’m not sure how our worlds are going to move forward without you but what I do know is that your legacy will live on through all of us. I believe you left a mark on anyone who crossed your path and we can all hold onto that forever.

You have left earth-side but I am at peace knowing you are reunited & rejoicing with your yobo. For those of you that don’t know, that means honey in Korean. I used to think it was the funniest thing hearing her & Grandpa yell that at each other.

Do me a favor though and tell grandpa his girl loves him bunches and I love you so much too!

I miss you grandma and I hope you know we are going to take care of your Tommy
