Doug McFarland, 73, of 3115 Nevel Drive died Thursday, September 24, 2015.

Mr. McFarland was born January 10, 1942, in Lebanon, N.H., moving to Huntsville, AL., in 1979. Doug was the son of the late Victor Irving McFarland and Eleanore Hanes. He was a Vietnam veteran completing two tours. Doug honorably served his country for 26 years in the U.S. Army.

Surviving are his wife Pamela E. McFarland; his two children, Tim McFarland and Kathy Salorio; His son-in-law Robert Salorio; His five grandchildren, Michelle McFarland, Evan Salorio, Ethan Salorio, Elicia Salorio and Emily Salorio; His sister-in-law Vicki Conley and his cousin Larry Webster.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 28, 2015 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and the funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Spry Funeral Home, 2411 Memorial Parkway N.W., Huntsville, AL 35810.
