On Saturday, May 28th, a precious soul left this Earth to join her beloved brother and son with our Father in Heaven.  All are deeply saddened by this sudden, tragic loss of a beautiful life cut short. 

Amanda Nicole Lamon was an exceptional person. From an early age, she expressed an artistic talent that was quite impressive. Over the course of her life, Amanda developed this skill and applied it to every aspect of her life from her home decor to her style of dress. Amanda deeply enjoyed all things beautiful and had a gift of taking the ordinary and transforming it into the extraordinary. 

Amanda applied similar passion to her love of caregiving. She never knew an animal she wasn't bonded to and could be counted on to provide boundless love and care for all in need. This humble, loving approach was core to her being. For those she loved, the depth of her loyalty was never in question. She gave all of herself, freely and willingly, to never let a loved one doubt their worth and value.  Amanda loved unconditionally. And, because of this, her softened heart bore much pain throughout her short life. 
Amanda lost a battle against a foe so formidable that even the strongest among us question our ability to prevail in similar circumstances. Losing her brother, who was connected to her heart and soul in ways that words could never express, was a devastating blow and it changed Amanda forever. Losing her son shortly after sent Amanda into a tailspin, as it would any mother.  Amanda saw her own soul as inextricably intertwined with Justin's and Skyler's. Losing them trapped her delicate being between our world and theirs. Amanda did all that she could to push against the weight of this pain and grief but it was soul crushing. The best she could do was to pray and seek out ways to numb her grief. Ultimately, we lost Amanda to a deeply broken, shattered heart. We would give anything to wrap her in warmth and love and shelter her from the pain she experienced. But, we are grateful that her precious spirit is free from the pain of this world and has been reunited with the pure love that abounds in Heaven. 
We hope that Amanda's life is remembered, as she would have wanted it to be...A life filled with deep unconditional love, kindness, forgiveness, energy and creativity. We hope that this loss breaks a vicious and destructive cycle of comforting each other in times of loss in unhealthy ways. We pray that our loss, and Amanda's legacy, sets others on a clearer path to God. In this way, Amanda's life will have eternal impact. Just as she would have wished.

The family will receive friends on Friday,  June 3, 2016 from 6:00pm until 7:00pm. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 7:00pm in the Spry Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donation be made to assist with funeral expenses.
