Every time I think of your dad, I can't help but smile because he was always so happy and usually had a joke to tell. I have such great memories of our times at your house when we would come down for the summer. My Pappaw was loved by many. His generosity and upbeat attitude was a joy to be around. I can't imagine life without Pappaw, but he was blessed to have lived a very long life. He not only developed a relationship with his grandkids, but also his great grandkids. I sure wish we could have had a spectacular 100th birthday party, but I guess we will settle with 96. I love you forever Pappaw, and I hope I can be half as upbeat, generous and lively as you always were. Thank you for being the best Pappaw. I will miss you.
