Sherry McCurry Carroll, age 78, passed away at her home Friday, Feb. 10th, in Hampton Cove, AL after a 3 1/2 year courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. She was born in Birmingham, AL to the late Andrew Jackson McCurry, Jr. and Christine Collins McCurry. Sherry graduated from Phillips High School in 1957, the University of Alabama (B.A.) in 1961, and the University of Akron (M.S.) in 1991.  She was married to Winston Carroll for 55 years and they shared their lives together in Redbank, TN; Colonial Heights, VA; Cuyahoga Falls, OH; and Hampton Cove, AL. She was an active member of the du Midi Women's Club, the Hampton Cove Garden Club, and Bible study groups and the Cokesbury Sunday school class at Trinity United Methodist church. Her greatest joy in life was serving others, her family and especially the Lord.

Sherry is survived by her husband Winston Carroll, son Marc and wife Kristen, daughter Jana and husband Terry Lambeth, son Kris, and five grandchildren: Olivia, Nina, Gage, Braden, and Katie.

A memorial service will be held in the sanctuary at Trinity UMC on Saturday, Feb. 18th with a visitation from 10am- 12 noon and service at noon. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to: The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, the du Midi Women's Club of Huntsville, or Trinity United Methodist Church.
