I met Stuart when I enrolled in Taekwondo school. We became fast friends and I loved him so much as a friend. I was there when he tested for his 1st Dan, he was my partner when I tested for my 1st Dan. He was there for all my testing including my 4th Dan and Master. He was on the tournament team which I taught. We went to many competitions. He was always upbeat and happy. I don’t know one person who didn’t like him. He was just a great guy. We continued to see each occasionally after we retired from competition. He was such a good friend. One funny thing occurred in all our years we practiced together, I was getting ready for a world championship and he was sparring with, when, all of a sudden I did an axe lick and broke his nose!! He went into the men’s dressing room and told me I didn’t hurt him, that he was fine. He went to ER and I found out I really did break his nose. So, I felt so so bad that I sent him flowers and when I told the florist why I was sending flowers, she laughed and said how on earth did I break his nose. I tried to explain what happened and I couldn’t convince her that we were JUST sparring g!!! So we had a good laugh about that. He was such a good friend, honest and humble. He will be missed so so much and I will always keep him close in my heart.
I love you Stuart, you fought a good fight, but you will always live in our memories. You are the best and I am blessed to call you my friend😘😘😘😘😘

I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of a friend and neighbor. Stuart fought a good fight against a horrible disease and he will be remembered. I pray that Britta and all family members find the strength they will need in the coming days and weeks.

I have had the privilege of working next to Stuart for the last 10 years, and have always been impressed by his determination, courage, and his kindness. Stuart was a friend, and someone I greatly respected. Your family are in my prayers. May God's peace, which surpasses all understanding, be with you during this time.
