James Palmer Tolen 73, of Huntsville, AL passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016. Mr. Tolen retired as Assistant Chief of Huntsville Fire and Rescue after 33 years of service to the City of Huntsville.

He is survived by his wife Martha J. Tolen, daughter Stephanie Tolen, son James Massey Tolen (Kelli), and grandson James Massey Tolen II.

Visitation for Mr. Tolen will be Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Spry Funeral Home from 5pm until 8:00pm. Services will be conducted on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 2pm in the Spry Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to The Alzheimer Association or their favorite charity.
